How to read 3GPP Specs

Hello guys ,

I am figuring out a way where I can post out some thoughts of mine for quick refrence . To start with allow me to publish this LTE releated specfication reading mechanism.

Many a times for freshers and even for the experienced guys it becomes difficult to figure out how to actually read a 3GPP Techinal Specification (TS) . Before reading the specs you should understand what is the nomenclature of the specs.

All 3GPP Techinical Specifications start with keywrd TS and have a specification number consisting of 4 or 5 digits.
The first two digits define the series i.e 23 series , 29 series etc followed by a dot(.) and further digits. After the decimal there could be 2 digits or three digits . The 2 decimal digits are for the series ranging between 01 to 13 and the 3 digit decimal number is for the series ranging between 21 to 55.
Eg: TS 09.02 or TS 23.401

The "version" is comprised of three fields:
1.major
2.technical
3. editorial
and each has a numeric value, starting with zero. The fields are separated with dots, and the version number shows major, technical and editorial fields respectively from left to right. Thus a spec whose major field is 4, whose technical field is 7 and whose editorial field is 1 would be shown as version 4.7.1.

The major version field reflects the stage of the spec:

0 = immature draft
1 = draft which is at least 60% complete and has been presented / will shortly be presented to the responsible TSG for information
2 = draft which is at least 80% complete and has been presented / will shortly be presented to the responsible TSG for approval
3 or greater = spec which has been approved by the responsible TSG and is under change control.

The technical version field is incremented each time a technical change is made to the spec as a result of the drafting process (major version <= 2) or as a result of the incorporation of one or more approved Change Requests (major version > 2).

The editorial version field is incremented each time a non-technical change is made to the spec, for example to correct trivial typographical errors

I am too a part of Corupted Culture !!!

Hello,
Being a citizen of a rapidly developing nation I was very happy the way my Country is progressing in 21st century. The participation of intellectuals in International Summits , enormous knowledge hub of IT professionals , highest number of candidates clearing one of world toughest exam like IAS, IPS etc... WoW I am a part of this .... Feels Great and sense of Pride in it .

Thats ALL in VAIN !!! lets SHUT UP and face the reality......

Case 1 . : Is road construction a rocket science which we fail to understand ..
If dinosaurs have a come back they will definitely select this land to rehabilitate as the ground conditions are same as that they have left . Lets welcome them with 10 X 10 potholes to lay their eggs , eroded TAR Rd for finer grip while the play and plenty of water logging for their spa and pedicure . We can evolve from single screen to multiplexes , from CRT to LCD/LED , from poha, idlli to cornflakes and juice but but but from bad roads to worst roads..

Why the hell am I paying 30% of my income as tax ? Probably to be spent on some party for ministers daughter or could it be to build a new High Storey for them ? hmmmm ... too many reasons !!!
Case 2 Jago Grahak aur paise Do
Is this the motto of Mall vendors and stores ... especially the eatery section .
Wada Pav : Rs 90-/_
Masala dosa : Rs 115 -/_
Tea : Rs 25
Masala Tea : Rs 40 -/_
Drinking Water (MRP 10 ) : Rs 25 with Tissue
Bill : All Fake

Guys are these vendors worth it ?? Can they match the quality , hygiene , process , management which McDonalds , pizza huts have CCD , Costa coffee have ??? . Instead these people have launched low price menus to reach out to larger audiences. Hope people protest to pay if they find sub standard quality and raise concerns.
I happen to be coming from mumbai to pune and after the first toll I stopped by for refreshments .. Excellent place and memories .. I took a packed water bottle prised MRP 15 and the vendor asked me for 25 bucks .. OOps I thought i grabbed a wrong drink .. no no No its same bottle with mrp 15 . On questioning the vendor about bill and extra charges he rudely asked me to quit the sale and leave his counter. Isnt that a great way of welcoming the travellers ??
This has been going on the mubai - pune express highway since ages but no one seems to be bothered.

Anyways i have to much to write about but let me hold my horses right on before i get carried away. The sad saga of this is that I too have to be a part of this custom directly or indirectly.
Thus accepting all this I now fearlessly say "I am too a part of Corrupted Culture "...

maruti 800 restoration

Hello,

I happen to posses an old Maruti Suzuki 800 car for about 8 years. It was bought for my brother years ago on completion of his post grads. The car was cool and had capability to get an attention anywhere it would go. Since there were not many competitors in small car segment those days , Maruti 800 had the solo possession to dominate the India roads.

This white beauty has travelled all over maharastra and it started all this from its maiden journey from Kalyan to Nagpur. Past that , the car has also witnessed and experienced the history's worst rainfall and floods in Mumbai. This car was submerged under water for 4 days and kept floating for another 5 days during the 26th july rains in Mumbai.

Long after now tough I posses couple of more high end cars , my old maruti 800 still hold its root very deep within me and my family. In due course of time the cars has undergone numerous mechanical changes and overhauling. The car values not more that Rs20k and thus I decided to undertake car restoration project .

The car is currently in garage and I would like to uploads some of its pics for you guys to help with your valuable comments and opinions .
